We have six girls all together in the family ranging from age 11 months to 4 years and all of their birthdays are in the spring and summer. That makes for a lot of birthday parties. Of course the girls want a cartoon theme like Dora or Disney Princess so we looked at the cake options at the grocery store. Unfortunately, the cakes where entirely way too expensive for a birthday cake. I wanted the girls to be excited for their party, so I looked online to try to find some ideas on how we could give them an amazing cake but at half the cost. I actually found a source that shows us how to make a cartoon themed cake by using a coloring book page or printing off a picture from the internet. My daughter was in love with Ariel, so she wanted a little mermaid birthday party. So I found a nice picture of Ariel and I printed it off. I followed the instructions and the cake turned out amazingly. It was a great way to give her a nice party and cake without breaking the bank.
